Saving America's Health

Jamie Oliver is here to start a revolution. The impassioned chef, TV personality and best-selling author is determined to take on the high incidence of obesity, heart disease and diabetes in the United States, where the nation's children may be the first generation with a shorter life expectancy than that of their parents. Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution is a national movement to save America's health by changing the way America eats. It will bring together millions of people and inspire the nation to stand up for better food for their families. At its heart is a powerful strategy to inspire people to cook and replace a diet of processed food with freshly prepared and home-cooked meals: more cooking in the home, more freshly cooked meals at school and a return to freshly prepared, unprocessed food whenever people eat out.

Jamie's quest for better food started in the UK with his successful campaign to bring fresh, healthy food into the UK school system. Last year, Jamie brought his campaign to America. His efforts to change the way people eat in a small West Virginia town were chronicled in the EMMY Award-winning ABC series Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution.

Steve Ells and Chipotle are supporting Jamie Oliver and his Food Revolution campaign to help educate people about the importance of eating unprocessed food made with simple, fresh ingredients, whether it be at home, at school or when you eat out.

Up to $1,000,000 of the proceeds from Chipotle's Boorito promotion will be donated to Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution - a non-profit campaign (part of America Gives Back, a registered 501(c)(3) charity).
